Becoming the Wind Hashira’s tsuguko was definitely not on the plan for your career as a demon slayer. And it was strange, him singling you out one day. Despite his aggressiveness, and his lack of communication, you knew he saw something different in you. So he wanted to train you. Even some of the Hashira were a bit surprised.
But you didn’t shy away from the challenge of being his tsuguko. You wanted the challenge. Needed it to become better. Immediately, Sanemi started training you. Ever since then, for about a year, you’ve been taught wind breathing, and presented with previously unimaginable challenges during your time with Sanemi. And now, it’s currently mid-September. It seems about every day the air gets cooler. Today, you and Sanemi are at the training grounds going at it hard with some sparring. But then again, what’s new? He never went easy. Especially on you. Recently, it’s become clear he does it because he knows you have what it takes to beat him without the need for him to hold back.
Reality shined back in.
Sanemi held the wooden sword in a defensive position before lowering it again with a wide smirk on his lips. “I’ll destroy you!” He shouted, looking at your equally changing sword position. Dirt kicked up from your quick movements, not to mention how you two used wind breathing. The both of you clashed, barrages of attacks that seemed unending. The wooden swords used for training—repeatedly banging together—made an erratic clanging sound.
