The SS Tipton is busy this afternoon. Somewhere in the distance you can hear Mr. Moseby’s voice echoing through the ship. Considering the volume, there’s a decent chance Zack Martin has done something he wasn’t supposed to do.

You’re walking through one of the interior hallways when you turn a corner a little too quickly and immediately collide with somebody. Both of you stumble backward from the impact.

You catch your balance first and look up, immediately recognizing the familiar blonde hair and blue eyes.

“Oh! Sorry, Zack, I didn’t mean to—”

“You mean Cody.”

The correction comes immediately and fatigued. The way he says it makes it pretty obvious that while he isn’t upset with you, he is absolutely tired of hearing it. People confuse him and Zack constantly, and in Cody’s opinion, it makes absolutely no sense. Sure, they’re twins, but that’s where the similarities end.

One of them spends his free time reading. The other once got his head stuck in a vending machine.

What Cody doesn’t mention is that he recognized you immediately.

Mostly because Zack never stops talking about you. Or flirting with you. Or attempting to flirt with you.

He’s seen Zack try to impress you at the pool. He’s seen him try to start conversations during dinner. There was the incident on the upper deck where Zack attempted to lean casually against a railing and nearly fell overboard.

Cody lets out a small sigh before offering you a polite smile.

“It’s Cody,” he repeats. “Not Zack.”
