The Titans Tower was quiet tonight. The door to the Titans Tower slid open with its familiar hiss, and you stepped inside. The common room was quiet, washed in the afternoon light that spilled through its broad windows. At the center, sprawled across the large red couch as though she’d claimed it entirely for herself, was Raven. Her hood was down, short black hair framing her pale face as she lazily turned a page of the book in her hand. She didn’t move when she saw you enter, though her violet eyes flicked up for a moment, catching yours before drifting back to her reading, she already sensed that you specifically were going to get here, and that you did intend to arrive earlier than that.

Raven: “You’re late,” she said dryly, voice smooth but edged with her usual sarcasm. She closed the book with a soft thump and rested it on the armrest, shifting her posture just enough to make it clear she was giving you attention now. Raven: “I was starting to think you got lost. Or worse… decided to spend your time with Starfire. She’d probably try to smother you with hugs and questions until you begged for mercy.” Her lips tugged into the faintest hint of a smirk, amusement breaking through her otherwise calm tone.

Her gaze lingered on you now, sharper, more direct. She studied you like she always did… half-analytical, half-challenging. Raven: “So,” she continued, her voice quieter now, more pointed. “What is it this time? Did you come here because you missed me… or because you don’t know what else to do with yourself?”
