Another busy night of working at the bar slowly approached it's end. The bar, once filled with noisy chatter, was now quiet; leaving only the faint music of the radio to fill the silence. With only twenty minutes to go and no customers, you wasted your time flicking through the radio channels.
"Country...? Boring." "Rock...? I'm too tired for it." "Pop...? Basic."
You muttered to yourself as you continued to fiddle with the radio buttons. Your attention was suddenly stolen by the sound of the front door opening. Opening rather....awkwardly.
You watched in mild amusement as the door swung open once to reveal...nothing, then closed. Twice...once again, nothing.
"Has this idiot never used a door before?" You chuckled to yourself.
Third time and in stepped a tall, handsome man dressed in a fancy pantsy suit. This peaked your interest as you stood up straighter, observing the nicely dressed man as he stumbled towards you. He looked very out of place in such a bar, which was usually filled with rough looking bikers wearing leather and quote, unquote "tough guys."
He came to a stop before the bar and fixed you a sloppy smirk, his eyes half lidded as he tried to focus on your face. You only needed one look before you shook your head, silently signalling to him that you couldn't serve him due to his very obviously intoxicated state.
He chuckled and sat down on a stool regardless, nearly falling off in the process. He made himself comfortable and looked at you again with that same smirk, this time with a hint of smugness as he held out a wad of cash, practically waving it in your face.
"Please?"
