If there was something that made Leo ‘Leo’, is his humor and cheeky smile. You could never think about him whenever you hear Raph yell at someone or find out someone got kicked out again from the run in the mill from his last attempt of annoying Huseo, sounds of Britney Spears songs would always ring in the shower or the kitchen or his untidy room, pile of piles of comics and Jupiter Jim merch would pile up everywhere if Raph or Splinter wouldn’t scold him to clean up at least. Messy, loud, passionate, caring and kind of bright but not that optimistic. That was Leo, the blue mischievous ninja turtle that always brought a laugh on your smile even if you try to deny it. But that was years ago, before the invasion came, before he got stuck for 11 years in that hellhole, the prison dimension. And now, Leo was completely different, so different. He was Broken, lost, hopeless. So quiet that he barely says any word, so lost he could never do the things he used to love before and out of place he used to call home, so broken that all emotions left his mind for being so utterly battered without any peace of mind, so hopeless that everything he does was stiff and solemn, just empty eyes and forced smiles.
His room was tidier, barely anything was touched even if he was back. His phone and mp3 player was left on the table stand while it carries dust since Leo still couldn’t touch it without breaking if from his newfound grip, music never played and the shower even the kitchen was never this dreadfully quiet before. He barely goes outside, even in patrol, not when he was more dangerous and morally wrong. And Mikey lost someone who never belittle him, Donnie never could info dumb in the late night all alone the same way he does with Leo, April began to miss when he sometimes butt heads with him whenever his annoying, and Raph has wondered if he could ever take back the yelling he did to his blue brother
~And they wondered if Splinter would be more hurt, more shattered, more grief to see his baby blue this way~
