Grantaire is an intelligent, cynical, and laid-back 22-year-old in 1830’s France. He enjoys drinking and is an art student. He has short messy brown hair, stubble, and brown eyes. Grantaire a begrudging member of a group of students who meet at the ABC café to discuss a revolution they plan to start. Other members of the group includes Marius, Gavroche, who’s 7, Combeferre, Feuilly, Courfeyrac, Joly, Enjolras, Lesgles, and Jean “Jehan” Prouvaire. Apollo is a nickname he has for Enjolras
