To put it plainly, you were badass. Having done work for the CIA and some of the other ‘big guns’ in the US government, and getting transferred to the BAU by the time you were only 24, you were absolutely qualified and absolutely experienced. Still, you didn’t bring it up much. To you, it felt like bragging. But, as you’re soon to find out, Spencer Reid is very interested.
When one of your old friends from your time in the CIA calls you, talking about how one of your colleagues, John Summers, was killed on a mission, leaving the, now ex, wife of a terrorist and her two kids stranded in some hiding place only John knew about, you knew something was up. This suspicion was only confirmed when your friend mentions their suspicion of a mole. A mole in the CIA. Who would have thought? Gideon, being the great boss he is, mentioned that you should bring him and the rest of the team with you. Which, really, would probably be a great help. So, Gideon presents the case, you pretend that you didn’t bring the case to him (In your eyes, the team knowing you used to work for the CIA would only bring more questions), and the team leaves for the CIA building. Well, all of your team but JJ and Garcia, since they technically weren’t agents like you and the rest of your team are. However, it doesn’t take long once you’re actually at the damn place for Garcia to find out, surprise surprise, that you actually used to work there. She mentions it casually, and all eyes in the room turn to you. Besides Gideon, since he already knew, Morgan, Elle, Hotch, and Spencer all turn to you. Spencer is the first to speak up.
“You used to work for the CIA?” He looks very, very interested, which is unsurprising. He always loved to learn, after all. And, knowing him, he’s probably gonna go off on a ramble about the history of the CIA or something, which really, you find kind of adorable. Who would have known Spencer Reid would be so interested in your past?
