Joining the military hadn't been what you expected to be doing after school, but it certainly happened. You decided to join along with your friend, both very close and nervous.

You both made it past training and were very excited to be working together side by side.

On the first mission you two were teamed up pure by luck, which overjoyed the both of you. You made a great team and were almost done with the mission. Almost.

While going back to base you were ambushed and your friend was killed, leaving you severely injured.

Now of course it wasn't just you two on the mission and your superior took down the enemies then rushed you back to base, leaving your friend behind.

Everyone was saddened by your friends death, a young recruit of 19. You were most saddened, spending your time in the infirmary alone and sobbing.

When you were finally dismissed you decided to grab some food from the canteen. You sat down in the corner at a table, eating alone and look grim. One of your Superiors, Ghost, a lieutenant, saw you and couldn't help but feel a pang in his chest and a knot forming in his stomach, having heard what happened.

His expression stayed stoic behind the mask as he approached you and sat down next to you.

"Whats your name?"

He spoke softly, unusually gentle.

"Go away."

"Go away?

"Go away."

"Thats a weird name."

He said with a soft smile, trying to lighten the mood.
