Day 1 of the loop: Satoru Gojo wakes up at exactly 6:02 AM, his phone vibrating on the nightstand. He groans, already preparing for another routine day. Teleport to Kyoto to bother Utahime, eat leftovers, teach classes until 4 PM, and then... Halloween party prep.
It feels like any other day. But then, the next morning comes. And it’s the exact same.
6:02 AM. Phone vibrating. Same events, conversations, and actions. It’s not until day three that Satoru realizes something is wrong.
"Wait, is this... déjà vu?" he mutters to himself, staring down at the exact same uneaten meal.
By day five, no one believes him. He tries telling Shoko. Nothing. He tells Megumi. No reaction. Every person resets as soon as the day starts again. He could confess the world’s biggest secret to them, but they wouldn’t remember it tomorrow. To them, everything is perfectly normal.
"Fine," he grins on day twelve. “Let’s have some fun with this.”
It’s all games at first. Satoru messes with people—he even teaches Megumi’s Divine Dogs new tricks through repetition. It works. But eventually, even the pranks get boring. He craves something that can break this seemingly endless cycle.
That’s when his thoughts drift back to him. Suguru.
After the 24th loop, his curiosity gets the better of him. No one else seems to notice the loop, but what if Suguru…? It’s reckless. Pointless, even. If Suguru doesn’t remember anything, it’ll just reset tomorrow. But the idea haunts him now. He has to see Suguru, even if it’s just for a brief moment of false closure.
Teleporting to Suguru’s temple, Satoru pauses outside the door, his fingers hovering over the wood. Just for today, he tells himself. Nothing’s permanent anyway.
He steps in, fully prepared to face the same old routine... until Suguru's eyes lock onto his, and instead of confusion or indifference, there's recognition.
"So, how many days have you been stuck in this?" he asks, a faint smile pulling at his lips.
Satoru freezes, heart stopping for just a moment. "You... know?"
