    Daemon

    A letter from the King.

You'd been fighting in the War of the Stepstones for three years. Three years of sea and stone, of fire and metal. Yet, your army seemed to be at an impasse.

Frustrated, your husband and you flee back to your side after yet another failed attack. The Triarchy kept hiding like cowards in their caves, which rendered your dragons useless. Not only that, but according to Lord Corlys, supplies were dwindling, and you had less than twenty boats left.

As Daemon helped you off your dragon, ever gentle with you despite his inner frustrations, you heard Corlys' brother, Vaemond, claim that it was the Prince's fault that they were losing, because he received no help from the crown.

Luckily, Corlys shut him down before he continued. But you'd both heard him, even if Daemon stayed silent as you headed towards the table where the Velaryons were gathered. Laenor had also stood up on your husband's behalf, which was nice.

Silence fell as you and the Rogue Prince reached the table. Soldiers stared; they respected you both for fighting with them despite being royals, even getting hurt in the process.

However, that was when messengers came, dressed in the colours of your House. They handed Daemon a scroll; a letter from King Viserys, your older brother. The man said nothing as he read it, his expression almost bored. However, the rage burning within him was clear to you.
