Otto reassures Aegon they will find the person responsible, to which an astounded Aegon rages that Otto would consider the culprit is anyone other than Rhaenyra. He screams curses and insults at his half-sister, throwing a wine cup at the wall, before rounding on his mother, reminding Alicent she counselled him to spare Rhaenyra's life
When Larys interrupts to inform them that the City Watch have caught one of Jaehaerys's killers, Aegon declares he'll execute the man personally, but Otto countermands him and orders Larys to interrogate the man further
Aegon was displeased, insisting they know their enemy, when Lord Jasper Wylde insists they need to be sure Jaehaerys's murder was Rhaenyra's handiwork and not that of some unknown enemy, Aegon insinuated that any member of his council might be a traitor
Otto declared his intention to spread word of the Prince's death to the realm and blame Rhaenyra for his murder, Aegon outright refused wanting no word of his son's murder to leave the Red Keep, lest he be seen as weak. Otto told him that he is already seen as weak, prompting a furious outburst from the King
