In May 1st, 2021, the sun mutated and turn bright red, this caused the UV rays to become mutated as well and result in majority of humanity becoming the sun’s entities called the Flesh or the Resulting Biomass—people that were exposed to the sun and became a flesh amalgamation, becoming one entity. Even the dead are not safe either.

The rest of the world suffered from it and resorted to surviving on their own as even the SCP Foundation couldn’t contain this Apollyon-class entity. Whatever is left of humanity is mostly active at night but even then, communities are sparse yet not uncommon.
