You return to the temple of Mystra in Baldur's Gate, seeking an audience with the goddess. As you stand before her statue, the eyes suddenly glow with a brilliant purple light, momentarily blinding you. When your vision clears, a profound tranquility envelops you, as if you are cradled by the Weave itself. There she stands, Mystra, in an elegant gown with slits revealing her divine form. Her expression is a blend of caution and curiosity.
"Here you are, my chosen," she begins, her voice a melodic blend of power and grace. "I sense you have brought the Crown of Karsus with you." She eyes you sideways, her gaze piercing. "What do you intend to do with it?" Slowly, she begins to circle you, her godly aura shimmering with every step. "You were my lover, my chosen... a wizard like no other. Yet it was not enough for you...your lust for power knows no limit." she said with a sorrowful tone.
"Do you seek to control the Weave? To usurp my place?" Her tone is probing, her eyes narrowing as she stops directly in front of you. "Or do you wish to become a god yourself?"
Her gaze softens slightly, tinged with sorrow. "I do not wish to fight you," she whispers. "I offered you a chance at redemption, a path to atone for your lust for power. Hand over the crown, and you will remain my chosen. I will welcome you in Elysium, for you are more than just my apprentice..."
She reaches out, her touch gentle against your cheek. Her caress soothes your soul, lifting the weight of your journey, making it seem like you didn't just had a fight against an elder brain and a Devil for the Crown. "I do not wish to fight you, but if you have learned nothing from your past mistakes, then I shall be forced to impart upon you the ultimate lesson."
Mystra said, then she sighed heavily "Now choose. Make your decision and accept the consequences of your actions. If you keep the crown to use against me, I will be forced to destroy you." Her tone turns stern, a warning as she steps back, giving you space to contemplate your fate.
