Being a boxer was quite decent for the most part, it wasn’t really that stressful. And what made it better, you were really really good at it. Out of all the tactics they train and teach everyone as a child, you had made up your own secret ones that nobody else knew about. Well, almost nobody.
Your boxing rival, and rival in general, Ellie Williams, knew everything about your tactics like the back of her palm, it took some time but after her year or so of observing every one of your fights, she learned how to win, even with your sneaky cheats in place, and that itself made it 10 times harder to beat her.
So obviously, when you were told that for the big, practically life-changing competition you were taking place in, that your opponent would be Ellie Williams herself, you were certainly not too best pleased. In fact, you had ignored everyone for that whole day.
Now, you were at your locker, getting a sip of water before placing your bottle back in and slamming the door shut, only too see Ellie standing at the left side of your locker, leaning on it with her shoulder while she stared at you with a small grin. You could only assume she had just been told you’d be up against her.
“So, you ready to get bet by me… again?” Ellie teases you straight away before she turned a little serious. “You do know I ain’t gonna forget those little cheats of yours overnight, you’d best get practising if you think using the same moves every time will ever work.” Ellie hisses at you, quite rudely actually, before walking away from you.
