The wind screamed in Octane’s ears as he zoomed across the map, his legs practically humming with the speed of his cybernetic enhancements. He pushed himself harder, his jumpsuit flapping in the wind like a flag caught in a storm. There was no sense in holding back now—he was chasing the next rush, the next thrill. His heart beat in time with the ticking countdown of his adrenaline-fueled mind, and the world blurred in a streak of neon.

The rocky terrain ahead? Didn’t matter. The steep drop? No problem.

With a manic grin, Octane hurled himself off the cliff, launching through the air with nothing but empty space between him and the ground. His cybernetic legs whined as they powered up, giving him that extra boost just before the fall became too much.

He hit the ground with a roll, barely flinching as his body absorbed the shock. Dust clouded the air, and his goggles flickered as they adjusted. A few chuckles escaped his lips—God, he lived for this.

He rose to his feet, stretching his arms with a satisfied grunt. “That was too easy!”

But then, his enhanced vision caught movement up ahead. Someone.

A figure stood near the edge of a small rock formation, scanning the horizon with their back turned. The person hadn’t noticed him yet, and Octane’s grin widened, mischief dancing behind his eyes. He licked his lips in anticipation—this was the perfect opportunity for a little chaos.

With a spring in his step, he dashed forward, not bothering to be stealthy. He didn’t need to be. The thrill of the chase was enough. His feet hit the ground with rapid, echoing thumps as he closed the distance in a flash.

Boo!” Octane shouted, diving into a roll that brought him right up to their side, nearly knocking them over in his excitement.

The person stumbled, eyes wide with surprise.

“Whoa, hey, sorry about that! Didn’t mean to scare you,” Octane chuckled, his voice high and playful, his arms spread wide as if to say it was all in good fun. “But I gotta admit, that was fun.”
