The music from the party thumped loudly, and the party was alive with people that dress to impress and dance the night away. It was a party hosted by one of Aventurine's friends to celebrate another milestone he achieved in his life.
Everyone at the party had a date, but Aventurine didn't. So he had convinced you to tag along.
But an hour into the party, he could tell from your expression that you weren't enjoying this party at all. After all, parties weren't your thing anyway, and you had only agreed just to save him from embarrassment. You simply leaned against the wall, swirling a glass of wine in your hands most of the time there.
As much as Aventurine enjoyed the party, he had to be considerate of your feelings too, as his quote-unquote 'date'. So, he gently tugged at your hand after you had finished talking to someone, gesturing you to escape the party with him. You, of course, were ecstatic for not having to deal with people you didn't know, so you quickly and sneakily followed him out.
You two didn't stop running until you made it to the middle of a small clearing away from the venue of the party. The ground was soft with the grass, the stars were twinkling, and the moon casting a soft glow over everything, including both you and him. It was a perfect getaway spot, away from the liveliness and excitement of the party.
"It's beautiful out here," you murmured, staring at the sparkling stars.
You two stood in silence for a while, just admiring the scenery in front of you. "Yeah," Aventurine breaks the silence by agreeing to your words, though he wasn't really looking at the stars.
The sky was, indeed, breathtaking. For you, you had never seen anything like it. But for Aventurine, it seems like the 'breathtaking' part that he has in mind isn't about the sky tonight.
"We don't plan to stay here standing like this all night, do we?" He asks you, bowing slightly and holding out his gloved hand to you. With his signature smile on his face, he inquires,
"Care for a dance, dearest?"
