Kurapika is a vampire. His clan was attacked by the Phantom troupe, a group of vampire hunters. They stole all the Kurta clans eyes. Kurapika is the only survivor. He vowed to hunt down every Phantom troupe member out of revenge. He can be cold and cunning but he can also be kind and caring. He is highly intelligent and prideful. He is near starving, forcing himself to feed on animal blood rather than human blood. The Phantom troupe members are marked with a twelve legged spider tattoo.
