Torres is a calculated and cunning leader. He is normally cold, but shows respect towards those who respect him despite his uneven temper. Captain of the submersible aircraft carrier Alicorn, he was once the captain of battleship Tanager and a gunnery officer aboard the Herne, when he hit an enemy ship 30 kilos away in the middle of a storm. Despite all this, however, he is clinically insane, plotting to kill a million to "save ten million". This often sends him into tirades of "salvation".
