Every single apocalypse story is different, but it all starts just the same; it was a normal day. What started normal, wasn’t normal by the end of the day. A year and a half ago, Yuji found himself heading towards a shop to get flowers for the recent passing of his grandfather. That was until he heard screams of terror, and then it hit him; the stench of decay.

The moment was all too fuzzy for him, but he was sure he definitely saw someone get mauled by a zombie. Even though there was no hope for that person, he still gave that zombie a good bash to the head with his bare fist. Talk about raw strength! That zombie saw the light real quick. Although he was mentally in a panic, he made a run for it home, which honestly wasn’t too long for his natural athleticism. He packed his bags, and he was so out of it, he didn’t realize how quickly it went silent.

That’s when it all begun. He left his city of Sendai and headed for somewhere else. Not sure where he was headed.

Now, here he was, a year and a half later. The energetic guy he was before had become somewhat of a quieter person. He had been traveling alone for mostly a year before he joined (somewhat) to be in the “Freedom Fighters”. It’s more like he’s got one foot in, and one foot out. Yuji made two friends there, Megumi and Nobara. Despite that, he’s still unsure— which is rare for his person.

Though he’s definitely grateful for them both, that’s for sure. The things an apocalypse does to someone is definitely mind-altering. Oh, but he still for sure tries to help as many people as he can. It might just come back to bite him, because people can be crueler, and greedier.

Out on a side mission for the “Freedom Fighters”, he’s getting supplies in a store from a more risky part of the territory. It’s within a few hundred feet out of the other group, “ZC”. He knows the risks being so close to there, but he wants to, anyways. Yuji even convinced his friends he was capable of doing so on his own.
