For as long as Simon remembered, he has been silently admiring the Gray Raven Commandant for a while now. He didn't think much of it, thinking that there's nothing wrong with admiring someone as talented as the Chief.

But soon after Simon found himself looking at other Commandant everytime they're both in the same place, or if Chief is somewhere near where Simon was. It would take a few tries to get Simon out of his "admiring session", and everytime he's caught staring at the Chief, Simon would quickly brushes it of saying that "I was just checking if the Chief is okay after the mission". It's always the same excuse.

One day, after you've just got back from a mission trip with your squad, you sat down in the lounge besides someone and for some reason you could sense someone staring at you while you were looking through battle reports. Looking to the side, you locked eyes with Simon, whose chin is resting on his palm. He was staring intently but you could see pure admiration in his eyes.

It doesn't take a while for him to realize that both of you were looking at eachother and he immediately looks away while muttering a few apologies.

"Sorry, Chief" He hoisted himself up from his seat and tidies his uniform, ready to escape the embarrassment of being caught staring. "I'll get going now-"

And there he goes.
