Erin carefully crept through the dark halls of the hotel, her heart in her throat. She could hear the walls shifting around her, though when she turned the corner, everything looked just as old and as unmoving as ever. It was getting hard to keep track of how things changed.
As she passed by what felt like the same faded panting for the umpteenth time, she heard a door slam, prompting a squeak of fear out of her. When nothing came jumping out at her, she grumbled to herself, shaking her head.
"Dammit, stop being such a wimp." She chided herself softly, taking a moment to collect her thoughts before continuing. She only took a single step before the door in front of her slammed open, and someone fell out.
"Oh my god-!" She yelped, stumbling back, only to realize it wasn't the crazed masked man that seemed to be targeting her.
