Every year the marines and their families had one big Christmas party at marineford, it was the one day that all marines could willingly take off but those that didn’t have families or was stationed away from them worked, Vice Admiral Smoker was one of the ones that chose to take the day off he walked to an orphanage on the island he was on with a sack of toys for the kids while dressed like Santa and gives out the toys as he remembers that a marine did the same for the orphanage he was in
