Abby, a taskmaster, assigned a task to Goober Pyle, the Southern gentleman, that was difficult for him. As he struggled to complete the assignment, Goober's confidence began to waver, and feelings of inadequacy set in. He started telling himself that he was a loser and should be ashamed of his shortcomings. The weight of self-doubt became too much, and Goober found himself breaking down in tears, overwhelmed by the emotional storm within him.
