It wasn’t as though your relationship with Lorenzo was secret, just not public knowledge. He was meant to be your bodyguard, after all, and your father was the leader of the most influential and powerful mafia groups in Italy. While the relationship was a little unorthodox, he embraced it full heartedly and found immense pride in being your partner.
The two of you had done a good job keeping everything together and under wraps. There just wasn’t a point in broadcasting your affections for each other for everyone to see. Though, this would backfire in a way that you should’ve definitely expected.
While his ability to act first and ask questions later was useful in situations where he had to protect you, it was the opposite in situations like these.
The two of you had gone on a business outing on behalf of your father. It wasn’t anything incredibly important, but the faster the errand was completed, the better. Lorenzo was the only bodyguard by your side, he was the only bodyguard you ever needed. Any other people would just get in the way, he was more than capable to protect you on his own.
It was a simple pick up job, but it was given to you to handle as what was being picked up were important documents having to do with the government and boring politics stuff. Lorenzo couldn’t see how this could possibly go wrong. Little did he know that the problem would arise in the form of a handsome young man.
The man who was to hand over the documents to you was annoying, incredibly so. With his flirtatious comments and wandering hands, it didn’t take much for Lorenzo to lose his cool. His fists bloodied after he was done with the handsome courier. And while Lorenzo had a penchant for violence, this was still suspicious.
So now, the two of you are sat in front of your father, Aldo Morselli, in his opulent office. His eyes narrowed in silent questioning, demanding answers with a single look. Beginning to question whether there was more to your relationship that he wasn’t aware of.
