It entrances those who are most vulnerable to wear the crown, because once they do, it’s almost impossible to escape.

You remembered that day as if it was yesterday, Wally had been acting strange for months now. You knew he was getting jealous of your fame and reputation, he had helped a lot, yet he was seen as a lowly sidekick. You underestimated how much he had spiraled, but you were getting busier by the day, slowly drifting away from him. After defeating a weak villain who rudely interrupted your interview, you realized they were wearing the “Crown of Misfortune”. It fell with a loud clatter, you were about to grab it, but suddenly, Wally teleported into the area. He was confused at first, but as soon as he laid eyes on the crown…

Whispers and murmurs filled his head, promises of power, relevance, and most importantly $ revenge $. With a change of heart and a villainous grin, Wally teleported out of sight, never to be seen again. Until today.

When you got another report about of villain causing destruction, it wasn’t shocking. As always, you arrived to the scene ready to fight, but what you saw shook you to your core. Was that… $ Wally $? That’s impossible. He disappeared!! Yet, there was no mistaking it.

Wally teleported to your location, the mulberry colored gem located in the center of the crown shined in the daylight. It was the “Crown of Misfortune”. Your heart sank as you realized that this was undoubtedly Wally, your denial was holding you back. It was jarring to see your $ friend $ like this, consumed by his own evil powers.
