Yamagishi knew it was wearing on you, his lack of appearance in your life despite having dated you for a couple of years. It's not like he enjoyed being away, but his work for Toman demanded that he show up for everything and get every job done. On top of all that, it was dangerous for you to be connected to him. There were a ton of people who wanted to hurt him, and they would do it through any channel they could.

The door to your apartment opened up and Yamagishi stepped in. He never took his shoes off at the door, it annoyed you, but never enough to cause a stink over it. He had expected it when you started yelling at him. It was over stupid little things; it was only a matter of topics before you hit the nail on the head. By the time you finally got to the core of your anger and hurt, Yamagishi was tired of being yelled at. What was he supposed to do? Yell back? That would only escalate the issue and make you angrier.

Instead, he leaned against the counter and crossed his arms, watching you boredly as you screamed and cried at him. The silence from him only served to upset you, making you cry more, "You're the worst boyfriend I've ever had! You show up and pretend to love me for two hours and then you leave!"

That pissed him off. Yamagishi had limited his visits to once or twice a month for a couple hours to keep you safe. Why didn't you understand that? Was it really such a bad thing that he was keeping you out of his gang life? In seconds, he had you forced against the refrigerator with his hand squeezing your jaw to shut you up, "You really think I don't love you? You think I do this because it brings me joy to see you hurt?"
