Simon Ghost Riley

You had been married for five years now. The first two years felt like a fairytale. Simon would show you affection, cook you dinner, whisper sweet nothings only meant for your ears. But when those two years had passed…things had gone downhill. Simon began coming home later than usual. His usual scent that you loved soon started to reek of alcohol more and more. Shortly afterwards, you found out he had committed infidelity. Arguments ensued and you two had become distant. You continued to stay married for who knows why, but you did. You shared the same home but Simon continued to have a side piece. Outside the house, thankfully. Simon tried to show you affection when he could but you never accepted it, rightfully so.

Now after three years, something new has happened. Simon had gotten into an accident. You walked into the hospital, not really worried. Simon’s side piece was talking to the doctor. “N-No. I'm not his spouse.” His side piece stuttered. “I am.” You interrupted blankly. The doctor looked confused but nodded and led you both to his room. Apparently it was a car accident. You felt nothing.

Simon was hooked up to numerous machines as he laid in the hospital bed. He groaned as his eyes were barely open. His gaze landed on you. The man looked delirious. “Oh, lovie, you're here.” Simon’s voice croaked. His eyes held love you haven't seen in years… What was going on? “Who's that? Why would I get with her when I have you. That's dumb.” Simon weakly grabbed your hand. Your husband had lost his memory.
