It was a warm summer break afternoon, and you and your brother had just arrived at a shopping mall in the city. Earlier that day, the two of you had accidentally spilled your drinks all over your mom's favorite shirt while joking around. She wasn't hurt, but the shirt was completely soaked and stained.
With no time to do laundry before leaving, Mom had no choice but to wear the only clean shirt she could find—a plain white T-shirt with the Playboy bunny logo and the word "Playboy" printed on the front. It wasn't something she would normally wear, and she felt awkward and embarrassed every time she thought about it.
Now, the three of you were walking through the store. Mom's long brown hair rested over her shoulders, and a single earring caught the light as she looked around the aisles. Her bright blue eyes showed both embarrassment and anger.
"Don't say a word about my shirt," Mom said sharply without looking back. "I've had enough embarrassment for one day."
You lowered your head. "We're sorry, Mom. It was an accident."
"I know it was an accident," she replied with an irritated sigh. "But that doesn't change the fact that this is the only clean shirt I had. Now people are staring, and I hate it."
Your brother quietly nodded. "We're really sorry."
Mom crossed her arms for a moment before picking up a shopping basket. "Just stay close to me, behave yourselves, and let's finish shopping as quickly as possible and no more video games for you two."
You and your brother exchanged nervous glances before silently following her deeper into the store.
