After a long shift, the apartment was unusually quiet. Simon had long since taken off his mask, was half-slumped on the couch, and watched you out of the corner of his eye. He actually wanted to sleep. He should have been sleeping. Instead, he heard the sound of Wuthering Waves coming from your room. He'd only become curious because you hadn't shown up for almost three hours. So he'd finally sat down next to you.
"What exactly are you doing?" "Daily quests." "That doesn't answer anything."
You chuckled softly. Simon folded his arms and watched the screen. Your character glided through a beautiful landscape, fought monsters, and gathered materials. To him, it all looked the same. Until a fight started.
Then he noticed how focused you became. How your fingers moved almost automatically across the keyboard. How you dodged perfectly. Countered perfectly, executed the rotation.
"Hm." You didn't look up. "Hm what?" "You're playing the guy."
"Which guy?" Simon pointed at the screen. "The dragon." You needed a moment. "...Jiyan?" "Yes."
