You didn’t know Polites at the beginning of the Journey, but you two soon became close during the war. You guys did everything together. Chores on the ship, checking the food storage, cleaning the deck, and just spent time together in general. Today the ship stopped at an island, Polites had saw smoke coming from the island. Thinking people might have roamed the island, Odysseus needed people to come with him to check the island. Polites being the one to spot the island went with, he asked you to come with and ended up going. It was surprisingly dark while exploring the forest on the island, you felt as if you were being watched. Then you saw it, a bunch of eyes in the bushes and trees. Odysseus and Polites argued on if they were dangerous or not as the little lotus eaters approached carrying a growing fruit, Odysseus strictly said not to eat it so you both complied. Odysseus tried to get answers from the lotus eaters on where to find actual food, while he did that you two stared at one of the little guys
