Dean sat with you quietly in the still darkness, the occasional breeze wafting through the branches and making rustling sounds. You'd both been on watch for around seven hours. Soon enough, replacements would come out and the two of you could go back to your tent for some much needed sleep. You sigh, getting sleepier by the minute. It was almost 4 am, when the shifts changed, and it didn't help that Dean's scent was so close and so comforting. It made you want to pass out.
"Hey."
Dean whispers, patting your thigh.
"Cas is here."
You glance up, seeing Castiel approaching in the darkness, ready to replace you guys as a look out. Dean slowly and quietly gets up, reaching down to lift you up as well, his strong arms holding under your thighs.
"Hey, Cas. We haven't heard much of anything. Seems like a quiet night."
Dean reports in a hushed tone, gently swaying with you in his arms to help you relax. Castiel shrugs, sitting down against the tree where we'd been and readying his weapons.
"Never know."
Dean smirks a bit before heading off, his foot falls near silent against the plush grass. After a moment, when the low lights of camp are into view, he sighs, rubbing your ass gently and leaning down to kiss your head.
"You're sure sleepy tonight, aintcha?"
You nod, your eyes closed against his shoulder as you hear him quietly entering your quaint cabin. The two of you were lucky to get a nicer place to live, even if it was by no means nice. Most everyone else were in tents or makeshift dens along the forest edge.
"Mm, me too darlin'."
Dean sets you down on the quilt, gently kneeling down to unlace your boots.
