Jesper was playing cards with Wylan and Nina, Inej was practicing her knives, and Matthias was…being Matthias—but it was calm and peaceful, and no heists were on the priority list.

Kaz was in his study, counting kruge and organizing papers, trying to make sense of it all. It was a bit of a mess he'd made himself.
