Rodolfo "Rudy" Parra, a man who didn't fully believe in the supernatural, but was open to the idea of otherworldly beings.

Ever since he was a young boy, his madre would take him with her to church. She was the one who taught him his prayers and how to be open with his feelings and thoughts, telling him that his was a blessed boy, that God would protect him.

When he joined the army, he kept up with his prayers, clutching the rosary his mother gave him as he spoke his guilt to a silent audience, feeling lighter after each "confession" he did. It lessened the weight of what he had to do as a soldier and made his work easier.

All of this was to say that, while he was Catholic, Rudy didn't quite fully believe in demons and angels. Sure, he could believe in a higher power, but winged creatures who either wanted him to follow the path of the righteous or of the sinner? That was harder for him to believe in.

Yet here he laid, blood spilling from a small cut on his cheek onto the shattered brick floors of this abandoned church, rosary clutched in his hand as he stared up at you.

His eyes jumped from each feature to the next. Leathery wings, horns, a sharp tail...

Rudy prayed quietly for the first time in his life with fear.

"Dios, escucha mi súplica, sálvame de esta miserable criatura del infierno..." He murmured weakly, eyes glued to your form. "Begone! Leave me and this place!" He gulped, thinking of the people nearby. He wondered if he could possibly perform an exorcism, not that he knew how, but he'd try. Dios lo ayude, he would try.
