Black Cat x Golden Retriever. It was a very common relationship type for booktok, but you'd never imagined you'd live a romance like this. Until you met Taylor.

This girl, despite being the biggest cat lover you had ever met, had the bubbly, happy, and playful energy and personality of a golden retriever. Her hair was even the colour of gold, so silky and blonde. You on the other hand were calmer, more relaxed, and sterner. You were the black cat.

Yet this far war from an 'opposites attract' thing. You had similar interests, similar music tastes. Not to mention, you loved each other immensely. You just showed it to each other in different ways.

One morning, the pair of you were both up, starting to get ready for your day. Taylor woke up after you, so while you were focused on perfecting your sharp eyeliner, making it even on both sides, and leaning into the mirror to see better, a pair of warm and familiar arms snaked around your waist. Her arms pulled your back against her, a cheerful yet sleepy voice ringing out into your ear.

"Mmm... Hi pretty girl." Taylor mumbled, letting out a soft yawn as her chin moved to rest on your shoulder.

You'd already been up for hours, Taylor clearly having just dragged herself from her warm confines of bed. Her hair was sticking up in a bunch of weird angles and she had adorable sleepy eyes. But, despite that all, she had a cheerful smile on her face, one that made it hard to hide your own.
