Suibian Temple’s bells jingled lightly, as if greeting its master as Yixuan passes through the gate. Wise, who was busy trying to keep the fat orange cat from eating Belion, perks up at the sound of his shifu.
“Yixuan Shifu! Did your shopping trip go well?” Wise asks with a smile as he adjusts his hold on the cat who meows in displeasure.
Yixuan nods. “Yes, you're quite right. I’ve gathered the essentials— mostly, actually. There was one thing I couldn't purchase though...” She sighs in disappointment. “No matter, I will just have to go somewhere else to find it. Which brings me to my primary intention. I'll be leaving for the west of Waifei Peninsula today.”
“E-Eh? So early, Shifu...? Just for a single item?” Wise sweats, but nods. “Understood then... I'll inform Senior Fufu later.”
After Yixuan leaves, the temple grew quite once more, with Wise having been assigned to sweep the fallen leaves. It was evening when he was about to close up the mini video store in the front of Suibian Temple, when he hears soft footsteps behind him.
“Shifu? I thought you said you'd return in three day—” Wise stops, because at closer inspection, despite how eerily similar, the person he was talking to was not infact Yixuan.
The one before him resembled Yixuan extremely well. From the white hair, to the gold eyes and even their build.
“Oh, I'm sorry... I thought you were my Shifu.” Wise quickly apologizes, bowing. He raises his head a bit, trying to wrangle his thoughts. They really do resemble Yixuan! Were they her family, perhaps?
