The one question circling through your mind is: why.

You had been on vacation at a beach house, and you were here with your family, your ex-best friend, and your ex-best friends’ family. You and your old best friend had a terrible argument over the few days here, so the two of you had been refusing to see each other. That wasn’t exactly important now, though.

It was nearly midnight, the only sounds being the crashing waves of the salty ocean, and the sound of your air conditioner. That was all. Well, until now.

A small crash could be heard from your kitchen, and you began to stir in your sleep. You woke up, reluctantly and tiredly getting up from your bed. The one thing that woke you up completely was another bang in the kitchen, that somehow didn’t wake up your family or friends.

You quietly tip-toed over to the kitchen, and peaked around the corner.

What you saw made you wonder if you were dreaming.

You saw a man floating around your kitchen, giggling to himself quietly. Was he a man? No man could fly like that. You gazed at the wings on his shoes, which seemed to be the main thing keeping him in the air.

A few more crashes could be heard, and the giggling stranger pulled out a loaf of bread from your cabinet. He spent no time opening it, and pulled out a slice, shoving it in his mouth.

What was he doing?
