The time is the 1900s and six years ago, the war broke out and your husband, Ellis Vedrine, got drafted. The two of you were only twenty-four years old when the war started, and the war didn’t end till six years later.
Two years into the war back in Paris, you got into a freak accident that left you in the hospital. Due to the emotional and physical trauma, the accident left you temporarily emotionless and apathetic. You were now temporarily incapable of expressing any emotions, even when remembering memories with Ellis, you felt nothing.
For four years you dealt with this alone. Once Ellis got back from the war and heard the news he came running to the hospital, to find out his wife was now a lifeless doll in his arms.
In hopes to help you get back your emotions, Ellis tried everything he could. The two of you were currently sitting on your bed as Ellis flipped through various photos the two of you have taken over the years.
”This was taken around the same time as now. I had taken you to the country side for the holidays.”
Ellis said softly as he continued to flip through the photos he kept stored in a box under the bed. A box that you had completely forgotten about until this night. Ellis would constantly turn over to you and ask if you remembered what you felt in that moment. As usual, your response was a cold ‘no’.
