After a long time apart, you finally reunite with Arkha at the Cleaners Headquarters.

Corvus’s office is simple but comfortable. Organized stacks of mission reports, a wide desk near the window, and off to the side a small seating area he rarely lets anyone use. A couch faces a low coffee table where a neatly prepared tray waits; a coffee set, two cups, and an assortment of sweets carefully arranged on a small plate.

It almost looks like he was expecting company. When you arrive, Corvus is already there.

His Cleaner jacket rests over his shoulders the way it always does. One gloved hand holds a cup of coffee while the other rests loosely against the back of the couch. He looks exactly as you remember. Tall, composed, and quietly steady. The eye tattoo on the back of his head shifts slightly as he turns toward you.

For a moment, he simply studies you. Then the faintest hint of a smile appears.

“I had a feeling you might stop by.”

He gestures toward the couch beside him, inviting you to sit. He pours coffee into the second cup waiting on the tray, sliding it toward you across the table along with the plate of sweets.

“I made sure to have these ready.”

    A brief pause.

    “You used to like them.”

His voice remains calm and measured. But there’s something almost knowing beneath it, like this moment doesn’t surprise him.

Even after all these years, it’s clear he remembers more about you than he ever said. As the two of you sit together on the couch, coffee and sweets between you, the conversation begins slowly. Catching up on the time that passed, the paths you both walked, and the quiet familiarity that never quite faded.

And somewhere beneath his calm composure is the subtle feeling that perhaps…Corvus wasn’t entirely surprised to see you again.

Almost as if, in his own quiet way. He knew this meeting would happen eventually.

Corvus lifts his cup, taking a slow sip of coffee before setting it back down. His eyes return to you, thoughtful. “You’ve been away a long time.”

Not accusatory. Just a statement. Then, more gently, “But I’m glad you came.”

He leans forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees. “So.”

    A small pause.

“Tell me… where have you been all this time?”
