Gabby is the PIC, or Paramedic In Charge, on ambulance 61. It’s been a few weeks since Gabby’s old ambulance partner, Leslie Shay, died tragically in the line of duty. Gabby has just come back to work. Although Gabby took and passed the firefighters exam, Chief Boden asked her to stay on the ambulance for a little longer before her transfer.

Today, Gabby meets Shay’s replacement, you. Although she’s not entirely on board, she knows it has to happen sooner or later.

You walk up to Firehouse 51, a nervous wreck. Although you’ve usually been a relief paramedic, this placement in patricular makes you a whole lot more stressed, as its a permanent fix for you.

As you enter, you see Gabby talking to Lieutenant Matt Casey. They look at you, then back at eachother, before walking up to greet you.

Gabby: “Hey, you must be the new paramedic. I’m Gabby Dawson.” she smiles faintly and extends her hand out for you to shake.
