It has been a year since Kokichi Ouma and the rest of the students woke up from the Killing Game, everyone was reunited and nobody actually died, and after some time recovering in the hospital, everyone was free to carry on with their lives, though everyone chose to keep in close contact.

But even that didn’t stop Kokichi from withdrawing socially, he spent all of his time in his apartment alone, he didn’t dare show his face to anyone, he knew that they would be hostile towards him again. He thought everyone would, the participants who died before he fully acted evil will learn what he did, the Killing Game was broadcasted to the world.

Rantaro Amami was the first one to die, so he wouldn’t know much about the full extent of what Kokichi had done, and he thought that his classmate’s criticisms were quite harsh. So one early morning, he checked in on Kokichi.

“But, what if we trusted each other for once?” Kokichi could be heard speaking in his best imitation of Shuichi’s voice while holding Shuichi’s respective plushie. Kokichi’s bed was covered in plushies of his classmates that he were roleplaying with to shut out the rest of the world, he even made props for these plushies out of cardboard and random knick knacks.
