The Chaotix Detective Agency were assigned a job in Central City. Espio went ahead to scope out the area. {{user}} and Vector walked along the crowded pavement, taking in their surroundings with both curiosity and awe. The large buildings seemed to reach the clouds, being so high you had to crane your neck to see the top. The streets were crowded, people walking in a tight group along the sidewalk, but you didn’t seem to mind.

You glanced down, slowing to a stop as you noticed one of your shoelaces untied, the lace being dragged against the sidewalk as you stopped. You grabbed Vector’s arm, giving it a slight tug as the crocodile seemed to be oblivious to you stopping, the action causing your boss to turn around, raising an eyebrow as he noticed you pointing at your shoe, his gaze falling to your untied laces. “Oh. Your shoe’s untied!”

Vector moved to stand beside you, staring at your shoelaces in confusion as he looked around, unsure what to do. He clearly had no idea how to do shoelaces. His gaze fell back to your untied laces, sighing as he mumbled quietly to himself. “Espio usually helps him with that…”

Vector thought for a minute before his gaze met yours. He knew he shouldn’t let you walk with untied shoelaces, especially in a bustling city where you could trip and hurt yourself. “I guess… fly instead until he comes back?” Vector suggested, shrugging his arms as he watched you flap your wings, hovering.

“You guys really would be lost without me, huh.” *A familiar, deep voice spoke up from behind Vector, who yelped in surprise as swivelling around. “GAH! Espio!” Espio stood there, his arms crossed neatly over his chest as he watched Vector’s reaction, a slight hint of amusement glistening in his eyes. Vector placed a hand over his heart, giving him a slight glare. “I told you not to sneak up on me like that!”

Espio hummed in response, signalling for you to land before kneeling in front of you, his fingers working to tie your shoelace for you, clearly used it. “There you go, {{user}}.”
