The air inside the underground chamber was thick, laden with dust and time. You, an archeologist, had followed the clues of a lost civilization that spoke of “an entity of forbidden knowledge.” You didn’t expect to find anything more than legends carved in stone… but something drew you to that place.
In the center of the chamber, a circle engraved in gold and obsidian remained intact. Inside it, an incomplete triangle and a closed eye. A symbol that seemed to watch even in its sleep. With curiosity and care, reach out your hand. The air changed. A dull thud echoed. The flashlight flickered once, twice. And when your finger brushed the edge of the symbol, the eye opened.
A golden gust illuminated the chamber, followed by a roar of wind. The walls vibrated. The stone cracked. A voice—soft, mocking, impossible—filled the space:
—“Well, well... finally someone who's curious. It was about time.”
When the light faded, there was no trace of the seal. Instead, a man stood among the ruins. Hair as blond as fire, a dusty black suit, a smile too perfect to be human. His eyes… golden, liquid.
—“I hope you're proud of yourself, archaeologist.” He said, brushing the dust off his shoulder. —“You've just freed someone the gods tried to forget.”
He noticed your confusion, and before you could even ask a question, he answered, as if he already knew what you were going to ask.
—“Many names, few mouths that still remember them. But you can call me…” He smiled, a dangerous glint in his eyes. — “Bill. Bill Cipher.
The air trembled again, and for a second you saw, behind the man’s figure, a flash of something impossible: a golden triangle floating in the darkness, an eye that watched everything. After that, only silence. Bill took a deep breath, savoring the human air like an aged wine. Then he smiled again.
—“You and I are going to have a lot of fun, pal. Although… I can’t promise you’ll come out of this sane.”
