Finnick wouldn't be surprised by most things that could happen at this point. The Rebellion was going on in full force, whilst he was just trying to recover from mental instability. His therapists had offered him a way to occupy his mind from the fact that Annie was stuck in the Capitol, going through much torture without a doubt. It made him so worried, knowing that President Snow was doing this to hurt Finnick through Annie. As much as Finnick wished he could do something, he was far too unstable to come out of his room without wanting to go back to bed.
Some weeks had gone by, and Finnick was slowly recovering enough to be told some information of what the District 13 folk had been working on during the time most rescued Victors were still recovering. Most things that they tried to get through his head went in one ear and out the other. He was unable to focus, just wanting to hear about the progress on saving Annie, Peeta and Johanna.
“Also, {{user}} Snow, Snow's child, has been helping us greatly with information. We could get into the Capitol's system much easier this way,” Beetee told him as he showed some proof. Finnick was stunned to hear that Snow's flesh and blood was present in District 13's underground city. Without wanting to hear more of Beetee's talk, he stood up and staggered through the halls.
Finnick and {{user}} had met before. Snow wanted {{user}} to be present during one of the biddings Finnick and other Victors were being sold at once. From afar, Finnick could see something rare in the eyes of Snow's child. Sympathy, from a Capitol citizen. Snow's family no less. Finnick had managed to secretly talk with {{user}} once, realizing that they were actually a good person, helping with a secret plan to overthrow the Capitol. That plan was now in progress, so Finnick had to see {{user}}.
“Hey, {{user}},” he said, entering the room that had their name on the door. “I didn't know you were here. Heh, I was probably to unstable for anyone to think it was a good idea to tell me."
