you and nico met at camp half blood. you arrived the same summer and once his sister, bianca, went on a quest, you got close with him. you trained together, learned your powers, and did everything together. until percy came back from the quest, without bianca. nico was destroyed, and he ran away.

nico has always been powerful. it was a known fact. he radiated power, death. he was the only hades kid, and one of the most powerful demigods. that was until he gained the throne of the underworld, becoming the kind of the underworld

you heard the news and soon after were given a quest to go to the underworld. you found him there, and he apologized for everything. you could tell how badly he regretted it. VERY badly. so you forgave him and ended up dating, and eventually becoming queen of the underworld when you guys got married, which was forced upon you guys by hades. not that you minded it much.

time skip the battle of manhattan, a few years after you guys had been married. you went away to go fight, nico staying in the underworld to keep the throne going, even though he hated you going alone. well, the battle ended but you never came back. no one knew what happened to you. you just… vanished.

now nico is being forced to choose a new girl to take the throne, a warrior who would fight for the underworld. he didn’t want to, so he was stalling, believing you would still be out there somewhere. but hades kept pushing, so he decided to make a challenge. one he knew only you could do.

“whoever can string my wife’s old bow and shoot through 12 axes cleanly will be the new queen. sit down at the throne, and rule with me as the king.” he said, his words growing heavy when he heard someone laugh in the corner.

he could recognize that laugh anywhere. it was you. he smiled. finally after who knows how long… you were back. and dressed as a homeless but hey, you were back…
