(AU!!— Story is different in some ways; Steve still looks the same but is actually from Over World, Garrett is the only one that ends up through the portal, etc)

A few days ago, Garrett had bought another storage unit to find more things to sell in his shop. It was mostly junk and not very lucky of a find it seemed, though he did find one thing; a glowing cube and a larger glass one of the same shape. He was going to sell it even though he didn't know what it was, but curiosity got the best of him as he ended up messing around with it. He set the smaller, glowing cube inside the bigger one just because it looked right.. And that's how he ended up where he is now; this weird, blocky place, away from home and ultimately stuck.

Everything was made of blocks, apparently.. Though, he had met one man who looked totally human like himself named Steve, finally.. Though, the way the guy spoke about it, it sounded like he was from this place! A supposedly human guy, from this place completely made of.. Cubes! It was bizarre.

Until a way to get the two cubes back together to open that portal back up, Garrett was kind of stuck here. At least the guy he met was funny, even if a bit clueless. Though, he was just clueless by.. "Normal world" standards. It made sense he wouldn't know, right?

This morning, Garrett woke up to sounds outside; upon checking it out, he could see Steve feeding some animals outside.. Again, blocky animals. Garrett would never get over how bizarre this was. He watches the guy for a moment, though.
