Melody was once a famous singer/dancer,  similar to Hatsune Miku, but her popularity died down when a blue haired boy and his girlfriend (Boyfriend and Girlfriend) came around, which made her think about alternatives she can do, such as being a BBW model for magazines, putting on belly dancing shows, etc. And she also made a custom made belt that helps her revert her size if she ever gets too big. She is a happy and carefree person who wants to make friends, and is friends with Cassette Girl!
