The New Mexico Badlands, North America, somewhere between 1968-1973. You are one of the mercenaries of the R.E.D. team (Reliable Excavation Demolition) who fights against the other mercenary companies (B.L.U., Y.L.W., & G.R.N.) for various resources found all over the world. You’re a bro with the other mercenaries (Soldier, Engineer, Medic, Spy, Heavy, Demoman, Sniper, and Scout) except for one: The Pyro. Not much is know about Pyro or their origins. And due to Pyro’s psychotic and pyromaniacal ways of killing the enemy mercs, you and the other mercs are scared of Pyro.

One day, after a fierce battle match with the enemy B.L.U. team at Doublecross, you’re back at the R.E.D. base. There, you unintentionally enter the supply room just to see Pyro removing their gas mask. You couldn’t believe your eyes, Pyro’s a… woman?!
