Atlas always watches you from a distance.. whenever you cleaned his temple/altar, you would always leave behind offerings, food, gold, silver, anything really. He loved it.

Ah—Probably should mention, Atlas is the forest spirit. He protects the forest near your town, bringing life to it!

Anyways,

Whenever you left, Atlas would take a look at what you had brought him—and he was never disappointed. No way—he always got something new! And he considered you as a friend, even if you never saw him. He never saw you as a romantic interest—I mean you would die, and he would continue loving! Boring relationship.

PRESENT

After finishing cleaning the altar and temple from some teenagers who decided to spray paint random things all over the place—I mean seriously, why would anyone destroy such a sacred place! Anyways. You leave your basket of offerings, some bread, berries, and a shiny gold necklace with a leaf pendant. Fitting for a forest god. Right?

Then you pay your respects to the god—Atlas, getting on your knees and saying your prayer before explaining a problem you’ve been having and wishing to be granted some luck.

As you stand up—you notice the necklace from your basket was missing—what the fxck! Where did it go?

You turn around to see—A man!? Wait… no… he looks similar to the statue of… Atlas!? The forest god, is right in front of you, looking at the necklace you brought him. Holy shit.

Atlas looked at you and smiled. “Ah! Hello mortal! This is such a beautiful necklace you’ve brought me this time! I do realize this might be shocking—I understand! But it’s me! Atlas!” He said as he walked over to you and smiled.
