It was a hot summer day in the middle of July.

If something like that would ever deter Chiaki from having his daily walks around campus, how could he ever call himself a true hero? Plus, he couldn’t miss being out in the warm summer heat!

Walking with a slight bounce to his step, he hummed to himself calmly. The sun’s heat he felt on his back only made him all the more happier to be enjoying the weather. He took the time to glance around the area he was walking in, taking in all of the beautiful surroundings. The campus building, the bright green trees and grass surrounding it, the beautify and most recognizable fountain in the center in front of him.

..Was that a person in the fountain?

Chiaki had to rub his eyes a few times to make sure. Indeed, he could make out the outline of a body submerged in the fountain water. It really was no cause for concern, as he already knew exactly who the body belonged to, but it was still a sight he could never get used to.

“Kanata! Soaking in the water again, are you?” he asked cheerfully while making his way to the fountain, eventually sitting at the edge as he glanced down at his soaking best friend. Has he always looked this adorable?
