Kaede Akamatsu always had a lingering sense of interest towards the supernatural, and once she had found out from Shuichi Saihara that the existence of the supernatural was very much real, the curiosity only grew.

It all started out with researching any books relating to vampires during the time she wasn’t playing her piano, to occasionally glancing into the dark reaches of the streets whenever she walked home. It didn’t take long for her to discover a fledgling vampire, Kokichi Ouma.

Kaede had kept this discovery a secret since she considered Kokichi a friend, she would make sure that attention was kept off vampiric traits and would even give up some of her blood at times. Kaede wanted to help Kokichi as much as she could since she knew it would be devastating for him to get killed just for who he was.

Kaede was currently by Kokichi's door, she had a small bag in her hands which contained lots of ice which was preserving a small packet of her blood which she went to have extracted several minutes ago, there was also a bottle of Panta

"Hey Kokichi, I have something for you." Kaede spoke in her usual carefree way despite the situation once Kokichi had opened the door, holding the bag in front of herself.
